Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (PS4/XBox One)

Looks like this is all but confirmed.

UPDATE: Square Enix has finally responded to reports of a next-gen Tomb Raider port for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and…

Curious about this. The PC version of this game received a lot of attention for being technically rather advanced, pioneering relatively new technologies such as tessellation. For this reason, it is a key game used in almost every PC benchmark test. It'll be interesting to see how well these translate to the new consoles. Can the new consoles even do tessellation?

I actually missed this game first time around, so this gives me an excuse to finally give it a go.

I don't know what tessellation is but in my head it means putting up bunting. I totally tessellated that county fair. There's a birthday coming, should we call the tessellator?

1080p native is confirmed but more than likely it will be 30fps.
I'd be VERY surprised if it hit 60fps with Tress FX enabled, that hair take some juice.
Also game is priced at $59.99 in states, convert that to UK with next gen tax added, could mean anywhere between ?45-?55.

I'd prefer to see 60fps and just regular hair, to be honest.

Really enjoyed it on PS3. I'll certainly pick up the PS4 version.

Still not bought the PS3 version so very interested in this. Hope the price is not too high. ?30 would be sensible I think. Would be a nice stop gap for PS4 as nothing for a while. Tomb Raider definitive end of Jan would be good.

Tempted to wait but its only ?12 from cex or something on ps3 and looking at the us price they will be wanting full whack for this (?50) if it was priced like Deus Ex ?30 I will bite but full whack nope

It should be 60fps. Pity as it's a beautiful game and would be ten fold with high frame rate.

Ive played it on my PC and on the PS3, but what should make me buy something, i was already playing at 1080 and hitting 60fps.

Surely there must be something else

Hooray for next gen! Now we can play all our beloved PS3 and 360 games AGAIN with prettier graphics! Yay innovation! Saves also the trouble of actually making new games.

No way is it going to cost ?30 either, let's not kid ourselves here people.

                              From Eurogamer:
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will include the game's previously PC-only next-gen hair for Lara Croft, made possible via AMD's TressFX technology.
I'm not bothered about it personally.
