Posting this kind of thing would be a perfect stunt for the competition to pull. Crazier things have happened ( see companies posting false negative reviews of competing phones).

At HDTVtest we have to keep blocking this army of users, all with Indian IP addresses, who keep posting good things about LG TVs and reliability scares about other brands, all BS naturally.

Well I've got one of these machines and the bloody fan is terrible so loud on killzone that I can hear the machine over my sound system

I doubt many units would be tampered with as there will be some kind of quality control going on.

The suspicion is justified. The terrible working conditions at Foxconn have been well documented. That's why Foxconn (a Taiwanese company) operate in mainland China in the first place - they can run factories under extremely poor conditions and paying awful wages. If workers are finding ways to fight back against the conditions, I would find it very difficult to blame them.

But broadly speaking, there's no reason to suspect that any console is going to have a lower build quality than those manufactured in any other country - 'sabotaged' consoles are going to be the exception rather than the rule, and remember that the same complex manufactures everything from XBoxes to WiiU consoles to iPhones.

Isn't it entirely possible that some are noisy and some aren't due to plain ol' poor build quality or varying parts rather than malicious sabotage?
