ive thought about this before, could be interesting if you could drive luxury and sports cars as well as really crap cars around cities and do some things you normally couldnt, sorta gta style stuff but more realistic if you get what i mean. There was another realistic driving game hmm ford simulator or something?

I've also actually thought about this type of thing, but with a more 'exciting' setting :P

I too had the idea about having a clutch (trigger clutch and other trigger accelerate - only problem I can see is my fingers sometimes hurt more using the triggers on the Xbox for accelerating in Colin McRae instead of the face buttons ), and then using the analogue sticks have to be pressed in and moved as a gear stick, however, rather than a 'mundane' setting, I thought about a Jurassic Park type thing gone wrong, with heavy use of oversized wing and rear-view mirrors, and the analogue stick that doesn't represent the gears to be used to 'look' around, since the game would be first-person inside a jeep/car. Imagine how nervewracking it'd be to stall with a T-Rex about to break loose, or driving along with pteradactyls dive-bombing you, or raptors giving chase!

The analogue used to 'look' would also double as ignition if pressed in, and so if you ran out of fuel (objectives would be as in JP perhaps, get to the power hut and return power to the chain-link fences or something) you'd have to find and get into another vehicle which might not start, or be difficult to start, just as some dinos are coming your way.

The only downside I can see is a bunch of townies standing in Game declaring it **** with it's not exactly pick-up-and-play controls.

Another game I found fairly realistic was criticised for bugginess, though with the latest patches it isn't too bad, and its a pretty nice game...

Not bad games at all specially as they are on a budget label... ?9.99 I think (PC only)
