After a cancelled entry, Squares epic over estimations of what a game should sell and a rejig word is IO is hard at work on the sixth main Hitman game. Now they're no longer developing games outside the series we'll hopefully see something this year or next but the game is earmarked for PC and next gen consoles.

Super pleased about a new Hitman but yeah, very disappointing we won't be seeing Kane & Lynch 3. Strange given what a good seller the franchise has been too.

To be fair while a few of the level designs were more linear in Absolution than Blood Money, it only played liked a cover shooter if that's how the player approached it.

The majority of levels had tons of different ways to complete, even some of the more linear ones revealed a surprising variety of options when played through Contracts mode that aren't evident on your first playthrough.

IO have broken down how content will be released. Basically it would be easier for them to delay it another 3 months, polish it and release as a full game
