Have very mixed memories of this thing, back when i was about 16 and had no large amount of cash i stupidly traded my uk gameboy & all my games for a first release of the lynx. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE, not only was the battery life abysmal the games i found to be ****e. It came with some bi-plane flying one called red baron or something like that. I started to hunt out other games for it, ended up with some wank platformer call scrapyard dog with the worst sprites & gameplay ever.

The only 2 that were highlights for on the system were klax & chips challenge liked those 2 games but that was pretty much it. I got rid of it not long after as i couldn't find much more for it. Ended up getting a gameboy again LOL such an idiot i was.

With better games & battery life it might have stood a chance.

Warbirds is the Red Baron game, I assume. It was a good game. Can't argue with the battery life, however, and that is essential for handhelds.

I had a Gear Gear and was 8 years old, so naturally I hated the Lynx like only a child fanboy could. Not that subsequent goes in the intervening years have changed my mind.

I thought it would be - that was always my favourite game on the system. Fantastic graphics for the time. Every ship that flew had shadows even. A real gem. When you consider that in 2005 the DS had Nanostray, which was rubbish compared to Zarlor Mercenary, it really was a great achievement for the time.

I did quite like Nanostray but it was a bit of a tech demo really.
