Typical, I bought it last week and my friend a couple of days ago. Good game though. There's some awesome courses, Marston marsh in particular.

This has 25% off the price for the next seven days (assuming you have PS+).

Nice way of the dev to kick early adopters in the balls for paying full price three weeks ago, why on earth didn't they discount it at launch.

In answer to ETC's question... I'd say it should be a ?15.99 game or thereabouts. Great game mechanics, graphics could be better, there's no career system to get stuck into. You do get unlimited courses though. There are loads of official dev made courses and then a plethora of user created courses. There is a nice play with ghost friends/non-friends system in there too.

I really miss a decent golf game like links 2004 on the original xbox. Hopefully this will be a great replacement finally.

If you like your Golf game's to be challenging, without stabilisers, a sim basically, then I'd highly recommend it. If you prefer the more accessible, character building, in-flight ball control of Tiger, then probably best to avoid.

Is it ?29 worth though, I would buy it on a blu ray for that but digital only for ?30 when I could just wait for tiger?

This is actually really good. Well, if u ever wished TW PGA would just be more of a sim and less fluff, silly-control-the-ball-in-mid-flight, etc.

This plays how I wish TW would play.

The graphics are slightly below par (oops), and there's no official PGA or other branding. But there is a nice always online/ghost/leaderboard thing going on.

Just wished there were a few on my friends list playing it (there are currently none of my friends on it, and will probably stay like that I imagine - damn you, Dad gamer!).

I love the sound of a Bordersdown Invitational!

Is there a virtual 19th hole I can meet you at?

Thanks, Marty. I fancy putting my own course together, but didn't like Sim golf much.

Yes I think you could be alone with that one for now sorry.

Velocity 2X is on PS+ tomorrow, looking forward to playing that.

Planet Minigolf, Jack Nicklaus's Unlimited Golf, World Class Leaderboard and I'm sure I remember one on the BBC Micro that allowed it but can't think of the name.

It's a shame that this isn't getting good reviews and the course editor, the part I was most interested in, appears to be a bit laggy/awkward if you're trying to do anything other than random generation. Nothing that can't be patched I'm sure, but maybe the PC is the better option in this case.

To be honest I hadn't considered the PS+ need for online properly. I do still think you would be OK, but would like someone else to confirm before you part with any hard earned coin.
