I remember going into my local CEX one Sunday & trading in my old phone for store credit (which is printed on their awful till receipts & has faded so badly I doubt I can even use it now) & they had stacks of sealed copies of Bambi on the counter (which wasn't due for release until monday) & a massive stack of other brand new Blu's on the counter with 2 "gentlemen" standing there with an empty duffle bag & they counted out nearly ?1500 in cash for them & off they went.

Everything they took in was brand spanking new in cellophane, it was clearly all stolen but did they care??
I don't think they really give 2 ****s about where games/BD's come from.
Phones on the other hand can land them in seriously hot water so they need to do their homework on them

Sure they only take 3 copies of one product nowadays to "try" and crack down on the above.

And the stores will sell new items too thereby making the whole thing pointless
Love the fact its next door to a CEX, real subtle plonkers. It's probably a con so they don't have to price match any more

Makes sense really. How many people here go into a retail store and spend ?50 on a new release? I think the online market has the 'new' and 'factory sealed' market wrapped up. Pre owned is were its happening. In Belfast city centre today, the ratio of punters in cex out weighted those in the game store 2-1.....

That Game store has always been next door to CEX, they are actually removing the normal store to make way from it.
GAME was there first mind, CEX opened up only a couple of years ago.

GAME & CEX are next door to each other in Romford too, must admit they're both about as busy as each other, but you just know the queue in CEX will take longer to go down when inevitably someone pulls out 50 DVD's to part ex.

For my store, I don't think I'll notice the difference.

My local GAME has new hardware, top ten, CoD, Halo, Uncharted, FIFA, Need for Speed and that'd be it. If I went in and asked for a new copy of Armored Core For Answer or Tekken 6 they'd probably laugh in my face.
