No way. Nearly every gamer I know had a flashed 360, custom firmware PSP, or DS flash cart. PS3 - not so much.

I guess we operate in different circles.

Last game I probably "pirated" was Policenauts when the translation patch was released a few years ago.
            This +1

During the NTSC-uk days there'd be goat sacrifices and orgies.

Yeah your right; a lot of mellowing has taken place in old age!

That's what you used to say back in the day, entering the ritual chamber, before we'd all get stuck in. Ahh, the good old days.

PS2 is the most recent console I have downloaded games for, but only a couple and imports at that. I have copied games for ps1, Saturn and dreamcast too. I figure it doesn't matter whether you pirate or buy second hand with retro. The publishers get no money either way. I'm past caring about boxes for anything other than my favourites. I'm also a fan of emulation - helps me get more enjoyment from many games I otherwise find frustrating. I still buy some retro games too. Bought a ton of stuff for Wii & 360,physical & digital.

I concur and would recommend this principled thievery be extended to cover anything that acquires value through rarity, such as artworks and vintage cars.

I don't know why you have the winky face. That's precisely what people do. I can print off the Mona Lisa and hang it on my wall if I want. In fact, creating replica forgeries of famous artwork, in actual paint, is a booming trade in China. They have rooms of trained artists repainting well known artworks which are then sold to people in the west who want physical art, but could never afford the originals.

I've got a GBA emulator for my nokia 920 and got a couple of ROMS to play on that - does that count ?? I loved my GBA but left it on the Portsmouth train one drunken night.....

No ****, Sketcz? The Chinese bootleg entire towns after European models. Anyway, does the piracy you advocate involve paying for reproduction code, as in the helpful example you gave of fake original paintings?
