Helldivers - top down twin stick shooter (PS4/PS3/Vita)

Couldn't find a thread for this, is looking and sounding promising. Due for release later in 2014.
Developed by Arrowhead and probably a PSN only release.

HELLDIVERS is a top down, twin stick shooter set in a dystopian world, coming to PS4, PS3 and PS Vita this year.

As a part of an elite fighting force ?THE HELLDIVERS?, you battle for humanity against three formidable alien races, protecting the inhabitants of Super Earth from the ugly realities of intergalactic warfare. But how did this ugly war begin? Hmm?

And as point 5 says, "yes, there are mechs!"



Do wish Shin'en would port over their twin stick Wii U shooter Nano Assault Neo or release a new version for the PS4 but hell will probably freeze over first as Nintendo seem to have them well and truly in their backpocket. Or maybe a new Super Stardust game would be nice.

Did anyone else get this? I've just bought it to play tonight - it's on offer on PSN this week.

It's available for PS3/4/Vita, and apparently has cross-play between all three formats (along with cross-buy).

I'm tempted but unless it gets a good following its gonna die on its arse as its all about the multi-player, and with psn being like it is its gonna show up at half price before we know it or be on ps+ at some point.

quite nice this - seems a bit basic (early levels anyway), but looks like it could pan into something decent. Put a few hours into it last night
