Not even news anymore. Trials has always been a great looking game and no doubt this one will as well. Don't expect 1080@60 from XBox One games because you'll be disappointed. I agree that the controls are everything for this game. I think the PS4 controller will be just fine mind but that's always going to come down to preference.

I may grab the retail version of this, but I might see how reception for it is in general first.

Hardly anyone will even notice. I bet I wouldn't!
I don't see the point in defending individual games at this point though; The ps4 / Xbox One disparity is present in practically every game from every developer. I really don't believe that the SDK is the problem - not when the hardware differences fully explain the differences.
For the majority of people playing the games 900p vs 1080p is neither here nor there; the problem for MS is that the popular gaming sites will mention this difference for every single game where it happens and it will happen for every single game.

I would be s****** bricks if I were at Microsoft. They have the more expensive machine with poorer specs, that's a stonecold fact that's not going to change during the coming years and people will know it. As most games these days are multiplatform, I don't see any reason for the average consumer to purchase a One instead of a PS4 when the PS4 version will always be the better one. Shame really, because to me the Xbox has been the real "gamer's console" all these years.

Oh no's ... How will Microsoft ever come back from this ... [Sarcasm Mode off]
Oh the One is the same a price as the PS4 now .. For more hardware (Kinect)
Back on topic I really am looknig forward to this ... Mulling over whether to get the season pass though as that ramps the price up significantly...

I presume you've played the previous games? If so you'll already know how great these games are. If you've not played them, you're in for a treat. Frustrating/control smashing/rewarding fun!

I won't commit to this season pass until I see the content.
Also I won't compare it to previous trials as this clearly has an Ubi focus.
Levelling up characters to access new bikes, earning money to buy said new bikes, cross linking it to mobile version to unlock costumes and content.
Even locking new course editor content behind the season pass, it's all sounds a bit ****ty and nothing like previous trials.

I've not played Trials before, and don't think I'll go for the season pass from the off, no reason not to pick it up at a later date, and will I still be playing this in a years time? (they reckon six bits of DLC by May 2015).
Saw someone post on another forum somewhere that they'll buy it digitally so they don't sell the disc purely out of frustration.
