    Batman: Arkham Knight

Warner Bros has officially announced the final chapter in Rocksteady's Batman series. Fans of the series will need a PC or next gen system as the game is headed to PC, PS4 and XBO by the end of this year.

In this new entry players can control the Batmobile and the story takes place one year after City's finale. The boxart is also out:

As is the first teaser trailer:

Was just posting this but the awesomeness was too hard to handle and my PC froze.

Kinda just popped out of nowhere... Great trailer! Now I must play Arkham Asylum and City.

So much for these endless rumours of a 'Silver Age' Justice League entry in the Batman saga - thank goodness! Like the trailer as it's not all growling and dark for a change, some quite witty/amusing bits. Title's a bit unimaginative though, and judging from the promo pictures they could've just called it 'Batman: Now Has a Car'

I have high hopes for this. Rocksteady have been busy locked down with this and it pleases me that there are no Xbox/PS3 version holding them back.

Disappointed we won't get a fully populated Gotham but looks good otherwise.

              Want. Want now.

I'll be all over this day one. Plus playable Harley.

Great news! Just thinking about what next gen will bring to Rocksteady's fantastic series makes me very excited.

The aim when making the Batmobile for Arkham Knight was "to make the best car in any game ever", Sefton Hill, game dire…

                  More info about the game

Looks very promising. No multiplayer and Kevin Conroy back - ace! Nolan North reprising his Penguin, however, not so good. Man learned how to speak 'cockerney' from watching Dick Van Dyke as Bert the Chimney Sweep out of Mary Poppins, I reckon! The inclusion of a totally new main baddie is refreshing too and hope there's more of this, instead of all the usual suspects again.

Since the announcement and then the splurge of info Rocksteady divulged this has become my most anticipated game of the year.

RS say there are no pre-rendered cut scenes;- it's all in game engine and they are pushing toward a pre-rendered level of graphical detail!

This would suggest that the trailer is not pre-rendered, but in-game engine graphics!
Hopefully we get gameplay footage at E3, the proof will be in the pudding, as they say in the industry.

                        Rocksteady FTW.

There was no need at all for Origins.

Not liking the suit design much.

For me the best suit design (and I never thought this until seeing Dark Knight) is the Batman Begins suit.

Functional and gothic without making batman look like a cyborg.

Hmm not hugely sold on that suit either. The "ears" are far too long and it looks a little too metallic. Given how many different skins you can use in these games though, I don't think it'll bother me much. The best part of origins was running around dressed like Adam West after all.

I liked the Batman Beyond suit. :P

I wouldn't mind seeing a suit where he is proper covered by the cloak.

                              This kind of thing:
