    Liitmeis: a bomberman-like arcade-explorer with minimalistic graphics

    Hi!

We just released our new indie game Liitmeis. It's available at http://www.liitmeis.com.

Liitmeis is a bomberman-like arcade-explorer with minimalistic graphics. The game takes place in a randomly generated underground mine with a different map every time you play.

Liitmeis is a combination of planning and panicking because the plan failed and you are being chased by man-eating mushrooms. The only way out is to blast your way through the walls with infinite amounts of TNT. Different wall types spawn various loot and monsters so you need to plan a little bit to make sure you don't unleash more than you can manage.

The best part is that you can choose your style of play. With lots of planning you can avoid most of the arcade-like situations and play it like a puzzle game. If you don?t want to bother with all the thinking you can just go berzerk, kill all the weak guys and run away from the too strong ones. The is a simple shop which offers additional possibilities to try different styles.

Liitmeis has 14 randomly generated levels so you can play through it quite a few times without facing too many similar situations. There is also a random level editor, which allows you to choose the general amount of walls and monsters and share the created deathtraps with your friends.

You can play single player or co-op with a friend on the same PC. The game is very easy to learn but after some time the difficulty starts kicking in and overall it?s pretty sadistic.

There is a demo available at liitmeis.com which has the first 5 levels and random level editor. For most people it will easily offer a few hours of gameplay so definitely check it out.

    Thank you!

I'm all for supporting Indies, but are blatant adverts allowed to be posts?

We have a shameless self-plugging thread for that I believe.

It's an announcement about a new game in the News forum.

This is the only way for independents to get news out about their game, the only people who read the self-plugging thread are those posting in it.

Why would anyone object to hearing new information? It's hardly like there's a wealth of conversation going on as it is.

It looks like a sub par Vectrex game.

Could have asked first though. Then it would have a "thanks to staff for allowing this" so avoiding replies like the above
