Anticipating: April 2014

More games next month but for me a much quiter line up in terms of what I'm picking up.

As usual, all games here are getting a release somewhere during April. Which ones on or off the list will you be picking up and why?

2014 Fifa World Cup. Being a massive football fan and and the World Cup being my favourite of all competitions, it's no surprise that the official football game of the competition gets my interest. The 2010 game is my favourite ever football game and feels like an evolution of PES rather than Fifa.

Dekamori Senran Kagura and BBCP are out in March....in fact, Dekamori is already out, I bought it yesterday :P
Anyway, apparently there's only BUllet Soul for me.

Not played an RPG since Final Fantasy 7 either so hoping its not too hard to get in to.

Looking ahead, assuming the usual games are out near Xmas, 2014 is one of the most sluggish years for releases in ages.

Is Theatrhythm Curtain Call the JP release? Do we know when it's making it over here? I would check the gamefaqs release schedule but when I tap the 3DS section on my iPad, it just brings up poxy ads and won't take me to the page...

Child of light, Dynasty Warriors 8 on vita and Trials for me. Glad it's a quiet month, after this month my wallet needs a rest.

I'll be getting Lego HobbitandFinal Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, both on PS4. I loved Lego Lord of the Rings, and also really liked the FF14 beta on PS4 (as well as FF11). Maybe Child of Light too.


I'd be all over the 2014 World Cup game if there was a PS4 version. No next gen version, so no sale - I'll save my pennies and stick with Fifa 14.

Don't forget Pier Solar HD is due for release in April, including a PS4 version.

Looking ahead, assuming the usual games are out near Xmas, 2014 is one of the most sluggish years for releases in ages.

I don't know if it's that bad compared to other years, there've been some pretty great games out already and many more coming. Many devs are (hopefully) busy working on brand new PS4/XO games so that takes time.

Nothing for me this month, but May is going to be expensive when I have to get a Wii U for Mario Kart 8!
