Oddowrld creator says mean things about EA

He doesn't come across as a happy man in this at all. And he definitely doesn't like EA. But then most of us aren't exactly fans either...

"I?d rather not make games than go f--king be a slave for public companies who care more about their shareholders than they do about their customers" (swearing, dashes and all from the article, honest Charles!).

LOL! That reminds me of the Johnny Rotten BBC TV interview, drop in a few naughty words and the kids will think you is hip. PR Hype.

He hates everyone. It would be more of a story if he had been complimentary

And why shouldn't he? Bang on about BF4 too.

After the way EA mistreated Stranger's Wrath, he has the right to feel bitter.

If you'd spent the better part of your life building a business and supporting staff, then ea come along, take the rights to your game, destroy your business and generally f""k your life up, you'd feel the same as well. Took him 10 years to get the rights back to strangers.

Easy , just say NO to EA, worse than having a bad drug problem.

Oh I completely empathise. I have been through this same thing, albeit not in the games industry and not with anything as awesome as Stranger's Wrath. Publishers deal in volume and your product will only ever be just one of many - they will never care about it the way a creator does. And unfortunately when it comes to revenue, in too many areas including games, creators are the very last stop on the money train and the carriages are usually empty by the time it arrives.

Gah, only just spotting the typo in the headline. Nuts.
