Good. More reviews of the really quirky Japan-only stuff (like kero kero king dx) would be fascinating. Could you not hire some people living in Japan who could get the publishers to send them review copies? Then again, I've no idea how that works over there...

Wait a minute, how much Japanese?
Ive got 5 years of classes behind me, an A* at GCSE and a D at A-Level.

I can understand some, and find it easy to work my way through most Japanese heavy games.

But if you want an accurate plot explanation to say for example FFXII when it comes out, I may not have those skills.

Fluency is not an easy thing for us mere 外国人
Well, I certainly dont think so.

        What do you need?

If you say how much knowledge you want, I think it would be better. I doubt you need to be an English genius to be able to play most English games (I wouldn't know, hypothetically, I am a genius ) so a passing knowledge of Japanese is possibly enough for a lot of the stuff you may want covered. As Otaku said, in fact.

I think you would benefit a lot from someone who can contribute a little about the Japan arcade scene and that would require little Japanese knowledge too.

Certain games are virtually unplayable if you have no knowledge of Japanese, for the more every day arcade titles for example its not such an issue at all. Even a working knowledge of Japanese would be helpful, but the more the better as many games are storyline based (like RPGs) and it would be great to have more cover for games like this.

Are you planning an update to your "Understanding Japanese" feature?

hmm, might be time to brush up on Kanji. Not an easy task. >_<
