    Mario Kart Bonus Disc Impressions

Haven't watched the clips but played the 5 demos...

    F-Zero GX

Yes I know this was out months back but its the first time I have played it believe it or not. I came 12th on Mute City Twist Road. The game felt and played just as greta as i'd expected. Graphical style is superb although now I have played it the actual boundaries aren't being pushed too much it seems. The speed is amazing. I didn't know all the controls, only worked out how to boost ont he final lap but overall I should enjoy once I finally get to buy it.

    Turtles

Mixed bag this one. I loved the arcade original. I think the voices would get repetitive after a while. I think the game looks and plays great for the style of game it is, however my big gripe is the camera angle. Have I missed a way of changing it or a radar? I imagine it being a nightmare finding out all the enemies within an area.

    Mario Party 5

First Mario Party mini games I have ever played. Thought they were great! I think i'm the sort of person who wouldn't even mind playing mini games against 3 CPU opponents over and over. I was sold on this one as I had pretty much no interest beforehand.

    Rebel Strike

Didn't really take to this. I enjoyed Rogue Leader but this seems a whole new experience, not one I like the look of. I thought the mix of video in with the game was strange and took away from the fantastic in game visual. The on foot controls were very odd. Also, I was killed, stepped on by a walker - It went through me! Is this a demo taken from the finished version or an early version as it seemed very...unpolished.

    Sonic Heroes

I love sonic 2d and didn't mind 3d but this seems very...awkward. The formation and team idea is nice but it is way too confusing what you can and cannot get away with. Nice graphics, back to Sonics roots, but I felt the level design and formation gameplay didn't go very well together. Mind you I only played for 5 minutes so I wouldn't write it off, I might have missed some align formation control button or something.

    F-Zero GX
Great game, I have played the full release through so can say this confidently, but as a first timer I imagine this would convince me enough to go out and buy it

    Turtles
I actually liked the strange camera angles. It made the game more stylish that just the usual 2D scroller ala the original turtles arcade game. The cell-shaded graphics are good and the theme moody.... however as you say the voices got repetitive quickly, the lack of throwing moves and variety would be a worry to me - I would have liked to have seen a boss fight - I may buy this one...

    Mario Party 5
Instantly playable, which is great for some of my none gaming friends, I would imagine kids likely this a lot too. A great game for relaxing, no stress there at all. Surely a good buy as a budget title

    Rebel Strike
My initial thoughts were this is crap, to be honest I didn't get much further than that and moved on!

    Sonic Heroes
Seems just like a mod on Sonic Adventure 2 on the dc. It was crap having all 3 characters, rather than just running through a level you had to stop and get the instructions how to progress, sonic used to be much more intuiative. When the other 2 characters stand on the others head it just looks silly - sega milking the franchise to death I think, not the sort of originality to take sonic to the next level really

      LMAO.

I only got my MKDD Bonus disc today (thanks for nothing DVDBO ft: ) and I already own 4 out of the 5 games on that Bonus disc.

What a waste of time that was.

I love the Mario Party 5 demo! I just love mini games

FF7 had lots of mini games and it just made the game so much better on top of an already classic game.

As for the MP5 games my perticular fav was the button mashing game. My hands hurt so bad when I was playing a mate. We were mashing all the buttons for abou 5 mins.

played the Sonic Heros demo, its seems nothing changed from sonic adventure 1 or 2 apart from three characers on screen which means is ****e.

            Turtles

So very repetitive and boring with over-long levels.

            Mario Party 5

Minigames seem nice, but the board sections have always dragged.

            Rebel Strike

More of the same, but with ****ty on-foot bits.

            Sonic Heroes

The worst Sonic game I've played in years. To think I thought Sonic Adventure 2 was bad...

Really that bad? Care to elaborate? I was hoping this would be good

From my experience of Sonic Heroes, I didn't feel as though I was in control most of the time. The formation stuff seems pointless as when you get to a spot needing one of the others skills you don't get the chance to decide. Instead one of the characters will announce for example - "Lets let tails take over from here" and next thing you know you are flying through the next section. Then most of the tracks and routes seem to have 3 paths. This is completely pointless basically as the 2 outer paths are just there for the CPU to move the other 2 characters so you HAVE to go down the middle route. If you go down the outside route the character to your left or right will fall down the hole/into the wash etc.

Its all very confusing, non interactive and pointless in my limited experience of it.

I loved Mario Party 5. My first ever play on a MP game. I'm thinking of getting it for me and my partner to play. Simple & fun.

F-Zero GX, had it and sold it. too hard for me.
Turtles - Big dissapointment. Just repetative slashing, YAWN!
Sonic - What's going on there? To be truthful i've never been a fan.
Rebel Strike - Thank god i cancelled my pre-order.

I played again, obviously from my impressions I am already sold on F Zero and Mario Party 5 so i'll skip more impressions on those...

TMNT - Enjoyed playing a lot more this time around. I can definitely see myself picking it up on budget as it does the scrolling beat em up thang VERY well.

Rebel Strike - Well I found lock on and roll on the on foot sections and am enjoying it a lot more than I did. In fact my play through this morning has virtually sold me this game. Once again thoiugh i would wait to get it on cheap as although it was good fun i'm not desperate for it.

Sonic - Still woeful. Didn't enjoy this once again. I feel lost playing it, like the game is out of your hands. Very much a let down.

I really liked the Sonic Heroes demo. Feels very fast and I like the way you can take a slightly alternative route through the levels by using a different character. I'm very much looking forward to it.
