    PTE65: PrE3

So, we're now as close as 10 days to the beginning of this years E3 and the first presentation reveals. It's no secret that so far this year has been a pretty quiet one as one generation of machines settles into its retirement home duties and the next moves onto potty training so hopes will be for many big game announcements at this years software focused expo.

Sony will be pushing to maintain the momentum lead they've built, Microsoft will be hoping to build upon the PR upswing since last years disasterous appearances and Nintendo will be praying they can grab some limelight back for their troubled console.

Are you hyped though for this years E3? Despite the recent leaks much hasn't been mentioned so there's room for much. Or are you over it already, expecting disappointment?

Optimistic of the unexpected would be my choice.

I can see lots of new ips making waves.

I'm hyped solely for Bayonetta 2. I reckon we'll get a demo announcement during the Direct, or possibly a Bayonetta 1 (locked at 60fps) themed announcement.

        Want to see more of:

        Star Wars Battlefront (unlikely)
        Battlefield Hardline (yup)
Red Dead Redemption 2 (very unlikely)
        H1Z1 (should be)

I'm always excited for E3. Finish work early and get home just after 5pm and then camp out in the conservatory at my PC until 4am after the Sony conference, with some fleeting conversation with the family in between. Can't wait!

I'm hopeful, but I'm ready to be disappointed in reality.

This is why I voted No interest, just more rubbish.

We'll get more target renders, more of the same from Nintendo, more games that are 3 years away and indie titles that will probably never see the light of day.

But look on the bright side.If there is one

I'm only interested in a new Zelda.

The thing is its E3, i cannot help but be excited every year it comes round. Though more often than not it ends up as a disappointment and any major surprises always seam to leak but its E3, there is nothing quite like it in the gaming calendar. It has become a June ritual for me to sit up to the early hours and taking it in. Really hoping to see more of Star Wars Battlefront, proper Wii U Zelda and some exclusives for PS4 for this Xmas.

My main hope is to see some games that look more next gen. The cross-gen stuff bores me, partly because the games barely look better, partly because the games that have been released so far (AssCreed, Killzone, Watchdogs etc) don't interest me at all. The only ones that have done so far are MGS GZ (pretty much identical on PS3) and Evil Within (ditto).

I'd like to see some cool games that are not coming to the PS3 or 360, basically. I want a reason to buy a PS4.

For Wii U I'd like to see a glimpse of the new Zelda at least, and an announcement of MK8 DLC. Not sure what else to hope for on that front, realistically. A date for Bayo 2 would be nice.
