I remember the first one was decent online but the single player was dreadful. In the current world where FPSs are ten a penny this really needs a USP otherwise it will fall into the "wait for Steam sale" list.
Homefront campaign was okayish, but the multiplayer was where it was at! Good fun with tanks, helicopters, drones etc. too bad it was over-shadowed by CoD (like pretty much everything), but it was really good.
Loved Homefront MP. It was a breath of fresh air, & the CODs that appeared after its release took a lot of its ideas.
SP was a bit meh, but online is where its at for me.
Looking forward to this & it might be the game that persuades me to buy a current gen console
UPDATE 6.52pm: Crytek has shared some details about its plans now that the developer turned publisher has found the fun…
Deep Silver, who seem to be making a habit of making successes of other publishers failures, have taken over everything relating to this game and franchise from Crytek
The successor to Homefront seems to have nothing but bad luck since it was announced a few yrs back.
I'm really hoping its gonna be awesome, as the 1st had a refreshing way of calling in strikes & the maps were great. They just needed to up the visuals & get soldiers running a bit faster
Looks pretty good (I loved Crysis 2 and this looks more of the same) but the idea of america as an 'oppressed nation' in video games needs to stop. It's almost bloody offensive.
I wish this had included a MP option coz HF was a great combo of COD & BF in 1 imo, but then maybe Kaos have realised that its gonna be nigh on impossible to compete in the MP market right now.
Still looking forward to this tho!
