Resident Evil Enhanced Veronica - Rumour

Someone found a Capcom web page for something called Enhanced Veronica.



This could very well be fake. I'm not convinced but a bunch of places are reporting it.

I'd be totally up for this. Code Veronica was ace but needed streamlining and polish; tyrant battle on the plane anyone?

Even if it's just using updated assets with the old play style that would be reason enough for me to play through.

A sequel would be great, I loved Code Veronica too. People have dug up a 3DS box art, that doesn't fill me with joy...

Similar to Resident Evil Zero/REmake in that regard.

If this is true then i am hoping they are also planning on offering/showing something new along side this possible remake. Code Veronica was a decent game but I've already played it twice now, on Dreamcast and the HD port.

Anything that gets rid of tank controls will be awesome but maybe too easy? Code Veronica is quite a fan fave, I never did clock it once I got to disc 2. Those fat ass spiders pissed me off.

Gah that Tyrant battle pretty much killed the game for me, Just couldn't do it.
Really wound me up.

Would love to see a remake though as it's probably the last great Res in my eyes (it all went down hill from 4)

I don't think the Enhanced is supposed to mean a Code Veronica remake rather that its an Enhanced T-Veronica virus.

Enhanced Vernoica does sound very much like a remake or Hd+ version but a CV sequel would be well received I reckon

I don't want a Veronica remake, Capcom are nowhere near on their game enough to be trusted to do a decent enough job of it. Modern Resi peaked with that very, very lucky giraffe.

RE:CV in my view was not only one of the best Dreamcast games to be released, but also the best Resi, period. A remake like RE:MAKE would be great. Nothing should change bar an update on the graphics would be fantastic. I still play remake and it still blows me away. I actually might buy the HD port of re CV, is it a decent HD port?

I played through CV about 2 weeks ago on the HD version. I hadn't played it since the DC one came out and it was alright still.

The voice acting was truly horrendous even by RE standards and theres not really anything memorable about it when it comes to boss fights or puzzles, the only bit i really remembered was Wesker running up walls like a loon.

Would i like to see it remade? Not really, its ok but its not as good as 2 or 3 and i'd much prefer to see 2 get remade.

I don't know if it was luck, or not. Resi 4 is a masterclass in game design. Resi 5 could have been just as good only they decided to bolt on a load of crap and knee-jerk UX 'enhancements' which actually hampered 4's simplicity.

In Fallows World Code Veronica is actually Resi 3. Resi 3 is Resi 2.5.
