Sony and Microsoft tied for me. Both used to much c.g.i. and 2015 stuff though.

Nintendo showed nothing of interest to me...bar Bayonnetta 2.

That's only because (in the main) third parties have dumped the WiiU though, I agree its great that all the games shown for the WiiU are exclusives, but in the end thats all Nintendo have left anyway.

Yeah, that was my thoughts too. "We've got GTA V coming to PS4! (shhh, all the other platforms too, but let's ignore that)."

At the end of the day, it was a bunch of companies showing games off, so they're all pretty similar, but I'd say Microsoft's showing of D4, Cuphead, Scalebound, Sunset Overdrive and Lifeless Planet interested me. Can you imagine the kind of year they'd have had if last year's E3 presentation had been like this?! Game after game after game. Brilliant.

Nintendo's preview of Project Giant Robot looks right up my street! I like how the pad is first-person view of the action of the screen and probably feels the closest to controlling a Pacific Rim Jaeger.

Star of the show was my squid game, Splatoon. It might not work out as being a good game in the end, or utterly reliant on full teams, but I love the innovation that's going on in there. Using the power of the console to cover the map in paint and they using those paint puddles as a way to traverse the map is really clever. It's like a cross between Nerf Arena and that Toy Story: Midway Mania ride at Disneyworld.

Ever since the new consoles were announced, I'd been waiting to see how the extra power would be put to use other than making people look more real and cars/guns more shiny. There was a great demo showing millions of ping pong balls falling onto a map with realistic physics that seemed like a step in the right direction.

It's like Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo stand in a line and are given a football each.
Microsoft kick the ball as hard as they possibly can, ignoring what everybody else is doing.
Sony then kick the ball slightly further than Microsoft just by avoiding the mistakes they made.
Nintendo take their turn. They ignore the others and start doing keepie-uppies and balancing tricks.

So well done to Nintendo for being innovative and Microsoft for seeing the error of their ways and turning things around pretty successfully.

        Nintendo >> Microsoft >> Sony

You write all that and then fail to vote?

Following the relative 'success' of MK8 this E3 looks like the one-two punch Nintendo needed so badly. Too bad there's nothing out in July or August to get new adopters looking forward to something imminent.

For me personally I probably agree with the majority; a very flat E3 with none of the fun and excitement that tends to come from new hardware. Along with a clear pattern where most games are 2015 and beyond.

Although but MS and Sony probably had to get a messages across that they have all the games, like others I find it odd when I see so many of these multiplats like Tomb Raider, COD, GTAV and Destiny wheeled out in these media briefings. I'd rather MS and Sony concentrated on their own games and actually show more gameplay footage.

There wasn't much between MS and Sony although I agree that Sony might have the better exclusives and potential more innovative games, but MS will have bigger titles for this Xmas. However Nintendo won it simply for having what appears to be more exclusives and as a fan I found their briefing more enjoyable (although certainly not a classic if such a things exists). I'm not sure whether Nintendo are holding back development teams for a new format as it's incredibly difficult to service so many first party titles for both machines but I can't help but think there will be a new platform that will have implications for WiiU by 2016.

Polls will be supported in a new version in the Summer with any luck. https://support.tapatalk.com/threads...to-work.24572/

                    Nice one.

Now I won't be able to lie about why I didn't vote.

As a one console consumer, i dont really care if a title is exclusive or not as it makes no difference to me. I also don't have any interest in Nintendo, nor any intention of buying an xbone (or PS4 for that matter) but as I play all my games on PS3 and Vita that was the only conference I watched. So it gets my vote automatically. I was very excited by LBP3 and Bloodborne anyway. I do miss the good old days when there were always lots of exciting franchises on the go.

Need a PS4 for Bloodborne buddy. Early 2015 I think.

Yeah, as I said in the thread I do now have two good reasons to get one - but neither game is out yet so currently I'm still satisfied with PS3

A few people have mentioned 2015 as if it's some faraway time.

I hate to break it to you, but we're practically half way through 2014. Next thing you know it, it'll be the Christmas games rush.
Plus, you've still not fixed the back gate or cut that tree down like you said you would at the start of the year.

Nintendo, Zelda and Yoshi's Woolly World looked wonderful, but no one really "wowed" me and all games are coming in 2015 anyway.

Nintendo won and I've been ****ting all over the wii u for awhile.

The splatoon game clinched it as it looks great fun, but I fear the new mechanic introduced is going to end up in a far better game - space marines yo.

Yoshi's wool looked pleasant and just fun.

Zedla idk. I'm bored of zelda at this point. Needs a rest.

I actually think in the realm of creativity EA would take second place just for that cool sports game they previewed. I thought that looked superb.

Star Wars Battlefront and Mirrors Edge 2 also? yeah good show.

Ubisoft need to realise people give zero ****s about assassins creed at this point. There's too ****ing many of them.
