The retail price of one pack of 3 cards is 300 yen (?1.55) making that ?6.26 amazon price pretty scandalous.

You must've had a great time breaking open all those booster packs Importaku, haha.

I really want to see what set they do next as I'm not really an AC fan.
Yeah it was fun but also a little nerve wracking as i wasn't 100% sure that there would be a complete set in one box like the rumours mentioned thankfully the ruours were true.. As for the cards i can definitely say that the fronts are cardboard but the back feels weirdly textured a bit like vinyl but i can't totally tell if it's just card as well.

Wow, that's quite a difference. Thanks for the info. Must be just some early stab at pricing from Amazon.

There's no way that anyone would pay that much to try and complete a set it would be total madness. At that price if they came in a box of 50 packs it would cost ?313 a box LOL.

Hiya, id like some advice, ive been collecting amiibos, keeping them mint in box. I have the japanese Squid Amiibo as a single pack, i want to pick up the boy and girl now. In terms of keeping its value, would it be best to buy the 3 pack with squid, or boy and girl just as singles. The cost would work out the same.

          love some advice, ta.

I'm not remotely interested in the cards but regardless of price I'd import. The European cards have 5 different names for each character on (English large in centre, 2 either side of that from the French, Spanish, Italian, German) it looks a mess.

            Europe:

            US:

            Japan:

Not really a first world problem, just expressing my choice as a consumer and lamenting Nintendo's refusal to embrace modern/post-minimalist design but touch?!

You are of course a grown man visiting a thread dedicated to colourful plastic toys and glorified panini stickers, no one in this thread is going to cover themselves in glory, least of all someone attempting to mock other people on the internet with something as tired and as lowbrow as a Weird Al video.

After I sold off most of my Amiibo with the thinking of picking up just select key ones when the bottom drops out the market in time, I'm starting get a sense we might be getting there. Starting to see the rarer ones pop up in stores more frequently and looking online the values seem to have started to begin a slow descent. Should be nice to eventually get the small handful I'll want for reasonable prices.

So what are the languages on the US ones?

                      I'd assume French and Spanish.

Nintendo are making millions of these things, you will be waiting decades for them to have any value beyond the bubble prices we're seeing at the moment - if they ever do. It's all gone very Beanie Babies with people paying 10x retail price or more. Today no Beanie Baby is worth more than a couple of quid.

The short answer to your question is that no one knows (Nintendo don't say how big a production run is of a given Amiibo). But the likelihood is that none of them will have really significant value in the long run.

Fair play, I went with the 3 pack in the end

If they're made for US then possibly Spanish, but not French. If they're made for NA then Canadian French and Spanish, but only if there is a difference in the naming convention.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Looking on the Animal Crossing wiki that seems to be the case. Isabella in English, Canela in Spanish and Marie in French.

I thought Happy Home Designer was on the Wii U, now I'm a little disappointed. Would've liked to have gotten it.

?30 for the nice Chibi Robo 3DS game and Amiibo.
                                Sounds reasonable to me.
