I've owned and played this on all 3 (sad I know) and the PS3 is noticeably better than the 360 version in that it has better framerates, cleaner and less blurry textures and better loading times. If I remember correctly it also runs at a slightly higher resolution too. Whilst the 360 is fine and was much earlier as you've mentioned, I don't remember this.

However both pale in comparison to the PC version, which runs at far higher framerates, resolution and far greater draw distances. On top of that is moddable. That said one thing I have encountered on PC more that the consoles are bugs (not game breaking) but for example not being able to complete the early fishing quest.

I'd struggle to vote here between Wii and 360 becuase I think the Wii as mentioned has a true masterpiece in the form of Super Mario Galaxy. In addition Wii Sports (best party game ever?), Zack & Wiki, Warioware and Zelda: Twilight Princess (which for many of us was the first time we encountered the game or choosen format). That said I have so many happy memories offline and online from Gears, PGR3 and Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, along with a few others in that list.

The PS3 isn't even in the same league in regards to this conversation.

Twilight Princess was out on Wii before it was available on Gamecube (in the UK at least, dunno about the rest of the world) so it should definitely be in the year 1 list for Wii (I think. Don't know the full criteria!).

Bought the 360 at launch and the ps3 at the US launch. The ps3 felt like a step backwards to me. The online service at that time wasn't too hot. In saying that I enjoyed Resistance and RR7, a big improvement to RR6. The 360 had more games that I wanted to play in cod2, pgr3, condemned, gears and rr6. The wii didn't interest me due to the controller.

In Japan TP both versions released at the same time however to avoid confusing consumers nintendo restricted the gamecube version to their online store so you couldn't buy it in shops.

This was a very hard one for me to choose, but the wii slightly tipped it for me... But I'm surprised zelda the twighlight princess never made the list, pretty sure I brought that at launch...

Edit: just read the above posts...
