Hatsune Miku coming the the West.

Virtual idol Hatsune Miku is heading west on Nintendo 3DS for the first time.

Sega announced Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Remix for release on Nintendo 3DS in 2015 on these shores. It's an enhanced version of the Japanese-only game Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2. Project Mirai Remix is a working title, Sega noted.

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Remix is a rhythm music game with two modes (button and touch) and three difficulties per song. There are customisation options for button icons and sounds, character costumes and gear and the ability to create and share player cards and customised dance routines via StreetPass.

Hatsune Miku is described as a "futuristic voice synthesizer software" developed by the wonderfully-named Crypton Future Media, and fronted by a 16-year-old girl with long turquoise pigtails. The music software launched in 2007 and now it's massive in Japan, with 100,000 user-released songs. Miku actually plays sold-out 3D concerts and appears in TV ads for the likes of Toyota and Google.

Might pick this up. Can anyone who played the Project Mirai games on import weigh in? I was a bit disappointed with F 2nd, been playing the first F again recently and I think it's much better all round.
