Boku wa Koukuu Kanseikan Airport Hero Kankuu - Sky Story

You're favourite air traffic controller game series is back and it has a story mode!

Out 23rd August, and currently Japan only.

A new release is always a good thing, but it is frustrating that these games don't have a free play mode, where you can just play as long as you like, until you cause a crash or over-stress the pilots. I hate having a plane inches from the gate when my shift ends.

Will be watching this with interest.

I'll be adding it to my collection naturally. I've still not managed to play any of the five 3DS ones so far...

Having played the PSP ones, the only 3DS one of interest to me is Honolulu, as that can't be found on the PSP. The 3DS ones are pricey in second hand shops.

        Will likely get this too.

Honolulu is the only one that's made it out of Japan as well. Naha Premium also has QR codes to scan for new levels.

Thank the heavens for these types of games.

Wonder which airports will be in this one. Can see a reference to Kansai - hope that's not the only one. I'm not very interested in a story mode to be honest - just sounds like stuff to get through before you get to the air traffic control.

Kryss, which of the PSP games do you like best? I think I like Shin Chitose. Haven't tried the download only one.

I think just Kansai. Another port from the PSP games. I liked Naha for the smaller airport, nicer surroundings and military jets.

Yes, the Naha one is also good - I like the feeling of approaching an island from the plane camera.

I do find the tower camera useless, and switch between plane and runway.

Did you get this, Kryss? How is it?

Sat on the shelf unplayed, another excellent extension of my dust storage. I'm actually thinking of trading in most of my BokuKan games when I go to Japan in May, along with a f-ton of other games I don't play.

If you do, let me know. I might be interested in taking some off your hands if you are going to be in Tokyo.

The Haneda version of this is coming to the Switch next month, with English support. Great stuff.
