Sega Arcade Games on PS3

Hi Guys,

Any recommendations for Sega Arcade stuff on PS3 (Retail or Digital)

I've picked up VF5....I Think there is some Model 2 games on the store, did they come to the UK...

The version of Daytona is superb, from my perspective. Super-high res, 60fps... I can't really fault it.

I mean I'm not like some people here who probably own the model-2 board and can play it side-by-side, and probably point out a thousand things wrong with it, but as someone who has a decent familiarity with it, I think it's amazing.

You picked up VF5 or VF5 Final Showdown? The latter is superior and I believe its in the EU PSN Japan sale right now. Final Showdown is so good, the best 3D fighter I played by far.

Get House of the Dead 4 as well. Its only 2 bucks or so. Brilliant game although only the crappy Move works with it (but its manageable, I use a gun shell). House of the Dead 3 is also good for kicks, only 4:3 though.

The Model 2 games are very good, VF2 and FV are arcade perfect. Sonic Fighters is fun for kicks too. Virtua Striker is good fun. Virtual On is surprisingly fun with DS3. I think the last 2 are only on Japan PSN, I bought them from there.

Daytona USA is likely the best arcade port ever made. Its better than Model 2, better than anything.

After Burner Climax is excellent. Really love it.

Outrun 2 SP is good too, although I think its been pulled. Sega Rally 3 (online arcade) is also there and I liked it.

I only recently found out but SEGA Rally Online Arcade has been pulled from XBLA/PSN when I looked (via PC on PSN) so can no longer be purchased.

Some lovely stuff to get in to Thank you. I re-bought a PS3, I have played most of them games, but it would be nice to play updated versions, I was always meaning to buy Daytona as I love the dreamcast game. I bought outrun before, if I can dig out my registered e-mail and password, i'll be good to go. I only paid a couple of quid for vf5 so no harm done..i understand the one you mentioned has on-line, well, that's always good incase we can get a tournament going. I owe Speedy a game of 3rd strike (although not Sega) this is a must for me, love 3rd strike.

I wont drag this on, but I personally drifted out of modern gaming as we know it, but, I'm appreciating things better again.
I'm not in a position for a PS4 yet, a price drop or two and a few more games, I can see me having one before Christmas.

I do want to get stuck into PS3 again though. Thanks again.
