Bought this earlier, had DOA Ultimate and this carries your dave data across, after selling it it'll have cost me about a tenner. It includes a hell of a lot of the DLC too which is nice. Playing on PS4 and the visuals really do polish up nicely, the character models looks great- and the core fighting is as solid as ever.

Worth picking up as its a cheap release- add me for games PSNID- MrKirov

      Boooooooooooobieessssssss.

That is this game summed up then. Last Round seems to be especially playing on this.

The fighting itself is good though, that's undeniable. It doesn't even need all the sexualisation tbh, the game itself is good enough to carry it. I think the money it's made from DLC for the skimpy outfits will probably send it the other way though :/

I've always thought DoA was crap myself, as a fighter. Still own most of them though.

They did initially go for the mature angle in the first version- as time has gone on the stages, music and costumes have become more ridiculous so it's a bit more fun now.

Must admit it's crashed about eight times in the last hour. Both regular matches and (attempted) online play etc etc.

Not as technical or enjoyable as Killer Instinct 2 I'm finding. Think the free trial will do me, as Story Mode isn't supposed to be great and isn't the sort of mode you'll want to play through more than once.

I've heard the Xbox version is a bit more of a cluster**** sadly :/

They both have their issues with save transfers, and with occasional freezes I think- but for some reason the Xbox version has loads of hard crashes :/

I feel like I'm playing a different game I caved and picked it up today, boy even at budget rrp is it a lazy cynical cash grab from Team Ninja. Personally, at it's time the game looked really nice but now it looks really last gen and I'm struggling to see any enhancements beyond what the hardware brings, not enough here to even class it as a HD Remaster. Other than 2 characters and two standard stages I can't see anything that wasn't in DoA5 Ultimate either. They've literally just done a quick rush job port (which the issues also suggest) in order to use it as a dlc selling platform as you cycle through the character menu that feels almost like a store page.

I'd happily say that for anyone who's already put time into a version of the game this is an instant skip. Gonna rinse story for trophies then flog it, weak saunce Ninja... weak sauce

I'm just gonna download the barebones free product and play that briefly, something to use my PS4 with at least.

I've seen some comparison vids, and played the PS3 version yesterday I'm prep- the resolution difference on the menus alone are startling. In game looks a lot nicer and crisper too. the "soft skin" seems a bit bollocks though as it doesn't seem much different- but the bump in resolution Nd new particle effects make the sweat/water/clothes physics look pretty cool.

I never bought into any of the DLC either so 5 new characters and 2 new stages for me- along with all the costumes that come with it. For the ?20-30 you can get it for Id say it's worthwhile if you like DOA. The PS4 is lacking a fighter for me so this is filling the hole nicely.

Looks like an original Xbox game.

As I said earlier, I think that's pretty critical. The original game didn't sell so well, and I don't think this is really marketed to people who had the old version, but rather people like Kirov.
