MS is foregoing Windows 9 all together and has instead announced Windows 10 for late 2015.
Ironically, it reminds me a lot of Windows 8... .1

Have a read of this story and the ultra settings etc. PS4 screens look to be holding their own pretty well to my old eyes - even in the comparison magnification tool thing.

The PC version of Monolith's Shadow of Mordor features an optional, ultra-HD texture pack that requires a graphics card…

@davidh, yeah, depending on how much ram is needed for the game the ps4 could theoretically actually use 6gb of video ram. It's all gddr5 after all. That was such a wise choice by Sony.

I already have Windows 7 so there was no need to buy an O.S. I also bought the 32 inch BENQ BL3200BT 1440P Monitor for just over ?450. I wanted a larger 32 inch monitor as i sit quite far away from it. I figured the rig i bought will play any game i want at 1440p running at 60fps at ultra settings including Elite Dangerous, Project cars and nearly Star Citizen when they are released. I will also be using it for Nintendo Dolphin emulator and to rip my Blu Rays to the Hard drive and then convert them saving me having to swap disks constantly. I will try and upload some pictures when i get it.

Yup nice system mate. You might want to look into ultrawide monitors though, LG 34UM95 or LG 34UC97. Really get the most out of your new system!

Thanks. I did have a look at both the LG models and the Samsung S32D850 before settling on the Benq. I don't think i have the room for the Ultrawide monitors on my table and the Samsung wasn't reviewed as well as the Benq which is why i didn't get any of those. I'm also not a heavy fps player and will mainly be playing RTS & Tactics games with mabee the odd FPS & Racer so the total display lag of around 21ms is fine for me.

Cool, Cool. I use a Benq XL2720Z 1080p for my serious gaming and the LG 34UM95 for everything else, that monitor is really immersive. Really looking forward to getting the curved one.
