Convince me to get a Xbox One

    No trolling required.

Already own a PS4 (and not thinking about selling it) bar the odd good retail release and the fact I know that in the long term it will come good, this post I saw posted on a forum elsewhere, "it's fast becoming a console for B class indie titles" currently sums the machine up for me.
This may be ideal for some people but not me, as the last six months of PS+ stuff really confirms.

Evil Within hasn't arrived today but will be here tomorrow so I really look forward to that. The failure that is DriveClub so far has disappointed as I was really looking forward to that.

Loved Forza Horizon 2 in the dabble I had the other day and between that and Forza 5 my racing game habit will get the little boost needed until Project Cars arrives in six weeks time. Sunset Overdrive too is appealing.

So sell me the idea of an Xbox One, and it's exclusive games or tell me it's faults and why I should stick with PS4, it's for the payers. Not fussed about Kinect and it's abilities in any shape or form by the way.

    Thanks,

If you know lots of people that have xbox one's the social features are much better on xbox.

As you have already said FH2 is really good but I wouldn't say its a system seller. I have both but my xbox gets much more use as I just find it better to use. Which is personnel preference. If you like racers though it would be a shame to miss out on FH.

As with every generation you will get the best of everything if you have all.

For me, this gen seems to be less about exclusives, and more about multi-platform then ever before. If that's the case, you may as well stick with the PS4 and ride it out as you generally are getting the better versions of them.

As much as I love Halo, I can't justify a purchase for a HD collection- which is a shame. It depends what you want really. I'd be weary of Sunset Overdrive being a big draw just yet, as i would wait for reviews- you wouldnt want to buy a console for what could be a 6/10 game at the end of it- just like with Driveclub.

I agree about all the indie guff that's coming on psplus, but that's sure to change as the back catalogue grows. I guess it just depends on how bored you feel with the games you have! Perhaps try a different genre to usual to spice things up a bit?

      For me, it's a no.

Games like TitanFall, Dead Rising, Sunset overdrive and Forza horizon 2 tempted me onto the xbox one, i wouldn't part with my ps4 though, but maybe i wouldn't of picked one up just yet, the situation reminds me of the ps2 at launch in that we are probably going to have to wait a little while for the really good stuff to show up. Games like Rhyme and The Witness, uncharted and no mans sky not due till 2015.

but saying that in 2015 the only xbox exclusive I'm interested in is Tombraider.

This is a great idea. But then thinking about it Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Titanfall, Forza Horizon 2, Crimson Dragon and with Halo coming I'd say it's worth having one.

Is Ryse a reason to own a console

Good plan! That's what I've done too. I've barely played it, but the intention was there!! I have a nice collection of titles there for when I hit a dry spell

Interested in shooters? Qute have are developing one, and there will be a new Raiden. I'm pretty sure I would buy the XBO for the upcoming Qute shooter, but other than that I have no interest in the console whatsoever.

No. Neither are any of those games. Wii U has Wonderful 101, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8 and Bayonetta 2 to say the least.

Owning an Xbox One rekindles the feelings I had back in 1998 when the Dreamcast launched and it's beginning to feel a bit like the early years of DC vs PS2 for me. All of the goodwill and hype is with Sony while the raft of genuinely interesting content is on the other console.

I own all three of the consoles and If I was forced to only own one it'd be the Xbox, Why?

The exclusives so far (I don't agree at all with the comment that this gen is less about the exclusives, This is only convenient to say if you only own a PS4 and ignore what is out there on the other systems)

                        Dead Rising 3
                        D4
                        Crimson Dragon
                        Forza 5
                        Killer Instinct
                        Super Time Force
                        Titanfall
                        Forza Horizon 2
                        Project Spark

All of these have come out within the space of 11 months and in the next few months we get:

                        Killer Instinct Season 2
                        Sunset Overdrive
                        Halo MCC
                        Ori and the Blind Forest
                        #idarb

                        A brief snippet of 2015?

                        Below
                        State of Decay HD
                        Raiden V
                        Quantum Break
                        Phantom Dust
                        Inside
Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time
                        Cuphead
                        Halo 5
                        --------------------
                        Scalebound
                        Crackdown

Xbox Live is still a generation ahead of PSN, No scheduled maintenance and a damn sight more stable than Sony's infrastructure.

The system updates are frequent and constantly adding new features and genuine improvements, 11 months on we're still waiting for simple implementation of standard features on the PS4 like pausing and re-organising downloads.

Like tickle I use my Xbox One all of the time and the PS4 only gets booted up to try the monthly PS+ games. The way everything is integrated on the Xbox is so much more intuative and well thought out and consequently a joy to use. For example if you go into the store and view a game thats released it immediately shows you a running embedded video of anyone that's streaming the game.

Microsoft are playing catch up and a hungry Microsoft is the best one as it forces them to invest in the console and not rest on their laurels.

So far in this generation the Xbox One is the only console I can recommend as it betters the PS4 on both features and quality of content.

Ryse I can't comment on from experience, but it seems poor, and Crimson Dragon is OK, but incredibly boring in comparison to Panzer Dragoon.

On the plus side, now after a year of updates, it's actually a decent front end in terms of functionality (still not sure on the look, but it works). Pretty much my only gripe now is that the video streaming app is the same as the xbox video app which refuses to work if Live is down.

Ryse and Crimson Dragon are not reasons on there own but with everything else.

I would take some time out to read an array of reviews etc on the exclusives that are on the system now to see if it seems worthwhile. When new year hits the XBO doesn't really have anything other than multiplatform titles coming which it's mostly better to stick with the PS4 for. Given how the systems rrp keeps inching down, unless you really need to play the exisiting exclusives it's better to hold off
