    Time Crisis 5

And there I was thinking lightgun games were dead.

This new instalment preserves the weapon-switching mechanic introduced in 3, and adds a second pedal. You can now choose to peek out from the left or right side of your cover in order to flank enemies, by stepping on the corresponding pedal.

It also has a monster cab with twin 55" displays. Here's hoping Namco Station gets at least a location test!

In my mind, it sounds like you'll be tap dancing as you shift your weight to press the two pedals!

I wonder if the Guitar Hero drumkit's pedals would work in a home conversion?!

Got to be on the cards surely somewhere down the line, read about the arcade version on Kotaku or somewhere last night, bet it looks amazing in the flesh.

As it's out next year it would make nice sense to take a PS4 version one step further and have it as the maib title in a Time Crisis Collection for the series 2016 20th anniversary

If they included TC1 and TC2 that would be absolutely blinding (they won't though).

I just don't like the Move as a lightgun at all though much preferred the Wiimote, it felt faster and more accurate. Brad did tell me I must have my Move setup wrongly though. It just felt sluggish and inaccurate to me on HOTD4.

All this talk of Wiimote and Move controllers...

Is Namco Station worth visiting wakka? Never been.

That really isn't saying much about the Wiimote's suitability for lightgun games, as it isn't great either.

Personally, I was always of the impression that the switch from CRT to HDTV was what killed the lightgun game genre, or at least hurt it.

I liked HotD4 with the Move rifle. I liked HotD Overkill with Wiimotes (I used to play with the Nerf blaster for one and the Wii Zapper for the other).
PS4 I don't trust for lightgun games. Give it to me on the WiiU

Yeah well obviously the best lightgun is a lightgun...I've no desire to house a 28" CRT in my flat though! Anything smaller is just a home made super hard mode in 2P.

Namco Station is OK. They have deluxe Outrun 2 SP if you're with a friend, Deadstorm Pirates and a massive Pac-Man CE 4P cab. Can't remember what else to be honest. It's not a patch on what Funland used to be.

Have you seen the light gun titles that have come out with LCD displays? That Rambo game is complete ass. New Point Blank please.

Think in the arcade it uses a positional gun rather than lightgun. HotD 4 works well in the arcade and that uses LCDs iirc.

I used to love Namco back when they used to have a run of sit down 50" cabs (and a DDR extreme). Nowadays it's somewhere I seem to go to more for events than actual arcade playing, but if they get a TC5 you can bet I'll be down there in a flash - it's walking distance from work, too...
