    Racing games with track editors

ModNation Racers and DS Create and Race are two that I have.

I read on the F-Zero thread that the third GBA game had a track editor. The 64DD Xpansion had one too.

    Any other good ones?

V-Rally 2 has a cool track editor. Sadly the DC editor is the best but the PS1 game plays better and has a weaker editor.

Mod Nation Racers does too, but I can't comment on the quality of the game. Ridge Racer Unbounded does if I remember rightly?

Yep, and it's a real treat. So much fun, even today. I dug it out about a year or so ago and it's great.

Remember Stunts, an old video game from 1990? Download it and play again on MyAbandonware.

The original trackmania on pc had a fantastic track editor and was pretty fun to race about in too, making a castle race track with drawbridges and cool jumps took up quite a bit of my time. but it was good fun and it was really easy and quick to get something half decent really intuitive track builder too like having tons of scaleletric track .

Made something very similar to this seeing the vid above makes me want to go and play it again

I think the Trackmania games have a related problem, in that they have an amazing, very easy-to-use editor, but I've always found the actual game fun, but quite basic.

Ridge Racer Unbounded was apparently touted as having a very good track editor. It's a poor Ridge Racer game, but still supposedly quite a good game.

That means it's a good Ridge Racer game

A PS2 game called G Surfers has a great track editor. Pity it has a terrible frame rate.

So much fun playing this back in the day. Low gravity, massive jumps.
