What games do you play to get Christmassy?

I have tons of memorys playing games at christmas so one of my favourite ways to feel christmassy is to go back and play them. My personal favourite has gotta be Ocarina of time, which I played solidly over the christmas period when it came out. I usually crack out James Pond II, which is quite christmassy, and I've downloaded the Rom of Daze Before Christmas which gamesTM told me about this month.

Any games you like to play to get in the christmas spirit?

Diddy Kong Racing for the Christmas themed track. Also, GTA3, as that's all I was playing a couple of Xmas back.

Last couple of years I've played SSX as it was all I played back in 2000. However, this year I have all new SSX3 which is a much better alternative.

I also play Super Mario Kart, reminsicing about the Christmas that I got it all those years ago. Unfortunately I have to resort to emulation for that now

        Final Fight on SFC.

I can't remember the year, but one Christmas i bought myself a SFC, Final Fight, Super Tennis and a brilliant flat-screen 21" TV. Spent just about the whole day on Final Fight and any time i play it now i always think of Christmas.

Good answer! Although metal gear has that winter chill to it. Fancy play that now.

Banjo-Kazooie's snow level had some of the most evocative music, but I finally traded that in yesterday so it'll have to be Christmas NiGHTs this year.

I'm looking forward to a white 'Toy Day' in Animal Crossing too.

I remember getting Secret Of Mana US along with a converter on Christmas day. I took it round my mates where we were having Lunch and we played it solidly in 2 player co-op.

I can't remember actually going downstairs to eat turkey since we were that enthrawled.

Why has no one mentioned Xmas Nights!!?? ft:

                      Man! What's up with that?

I play this every day to unlock a new gift, like advent gaming. 8)

Didn't get much play in this weekend thanks to my RGB scart going AWOL. That means I have 3 gifts to unlock tonight.

Secret of Mana makes me fell Christmas-y. Quite an epic game, it certainly impressed me a lot when I first played it. My brother and I had a marathon gaming session in two-player mode, and we played SoM pretty much every day afterwards until we had completed it.

I get similar festive feelings when I have a game of Kirby's Fun Pak or Ocarina of Time, and going back a bit, Moley Christmas and Batman the Caped Crusader for the Speccy.

For me it's "Space channel 5" Not particularly festive but I got it one xmas so its the connotations the music evokes in me that makes it for me xmassy.

Aye, nice little trip down memory lane thread here.

I used to play the facility exterior levels on Goldeneye, the snow levels on Super Mario World/64, Super Mario Kart/64 and Banjo Kazooie's snow level all the time. Last year I blazed Metroid Prime all through the two'ish weeks over christmas. I might bung on Mystical Ninja starring Goemon again this year and seek out the mountain tops as I seem to recall them being snow capped.

Ahh the Christmas themed tracks on Diddy Kong Racing are very christmassy indeed, and seeing as I played it all Christmas day along with the snow levels on Mario and Ocarina of Time the following they invoke the feeling of Christmas time within me more than most.

And of course mid-way through Shenmue when Santa began to roam, snow began to fall and the lights went up. Dobuita all lit-up at night was a thing of true beauty Ah I want to play through it again now even though I do not have the time
