Bank quest, an RPG that demands you spend real cash to get anywhere.

So i finally managed to get to floor 100 this afternoon, the boss was pretty tough i had to heal quite a lot to take him down. The game even has an end sequence, after all the townspeople cheering the old man from the beginning reappears to drop the bombshell that err floor 100 isn't the top of the tower.

God damn, the money box was almost full at this point and he tells me that i'm only halfway there and there are 100 more floors to go. I was severely low on funds and the next set of weapons an armour are 15,000+ each. Screw that i'll have to start again only putting in the highest paying coins to get enough gold to try and do this thing. So i opened the box and got all my money back which means that the town reverts back to the beginning and my level and towel level are all reset and i lose all my items.

Maybe one day i'll try for the 200 floor challenge, may need to buy that guidebook after all LOL.

I was rocking pretty strong armour and weapons upto this point.


And here we are the boss of floor 100, his hits do a lot of damage nearly 50 points each and my attacks missed him quite a few times. Seeing as my HP is barely near 400 thats not too many hits he can land on me before i die, when you die you get sent back a floor which isnt too harsh i guess.

And dumped back in town which has now transformed into a rather well fortified one.

So for the time been my quest has come to a close, i shall one day see whats at the very top of the tower an what reward aways for defeating it.

Ask Charles if maybe this can be made a site article - it needs more exposure. I've never heard of anything like this until now and you've done a fantastic job describing it.

I'd half expect to find that inside is a motor and when you hit floor 200 the motor activates and the entire moneybox will start to grow as it has a telescopic second bank hidden inside that extends and it informs me that the bank is only half full and there are 200 more floors lol.

There is another bank i'm interested in getting called jinsei ginko (life bank) not as full on a game as bank quest but it's like a little smulation world revolving around the man inside, as you save more and more events happen on the little screen. There are small minigames from the quick info search i did on the net about it. Seems to be several versions but the 50 years of Japan version is the one i'm interested in.


Nice that people have enjoyed reading about it, these are the kinds of gadgets i love to get my hands on, have quite a few odd things like this at home. May do another thread like this at some point.

I wonder which euro coins this accepts. There's no point me getting one if it will only accept coppers as I do plan on this being my legitimate gaming spends vault.
