The clue for me is if I will only buy it if there is a physical version. Then I know I want it just because the box looks like a cool thing to own. Still sometimes buy it though!

Would have bought Dr Mario as the new game mechanics look pretty fun but as it's DL only i'd rather use that cash on a physical game as there's loads i want still on 3DS at the moment. My Amazon Jp wish list is pretty long.

Nintendo has confirmed the following UK release dates:

-Dr Mario: Miracle Cure - 11 June
-Chibi Robo: Zip Lash - November

In the US, you will only be able to acquire the Chibi-robo Amiibo by buying the 3DS game.

And so I am "forced" to buy the CR game. Oh dear, what a shame

Despite being epic flops for the franchise, Sega has announced a sequel to the 3DS entry of Sonic Boom titled Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice which will release this Xmas.

Sonic really needs to be retired for good, kind of feel sorry for him it's just one crap game after another. You can literally count the good post megadrive sonic games on one hand. I'd rather Sega tried to do more new ip's hell they managed it once already with hero bank. Or maybe a sequel to poles adventure on wii, man i'd love a full game full of those stupid gags that were everywhere in that game.

Only critically. It seems to have sold about 250k copies, which admittedly isn't much, but then it was a supporting title for a TV show, not the other way around (i.e. the TV show wasn't supporting the game). The TV show has performed well in the USA apparently.

What I was trying to say is that though the games are flops when you take them on their own merits, they're part of a transmedia franchise which is collectively doing very well, hence why they're making more games.

That is probably because Sega is still hammerimg Sonic Boom rather than doing something new and silly like Sonic Antartic Cruise.

Yep, the TV show is apparently doing well which now throws the Sonic Boom games into effectively licensed pap. Which seems kind of fitting given the state of Sonic games. I have seen a couple of episodes and it is mind-numbingly generic but the production values are high visually compared to similar shows.

Is it any good? Just seems to be fighting, is that all there is to it? I see they have added Tetra from WW to the 3DS but the trailer doesn't show toon Link. Is there toon Link?

It was alright fun if a bit samey, if you've ever played a Dynasty Warriors its exactly the same. I'd worry that the enemy count would be reduced for 3DS so much it'd feel too sparse as the WiiU game is pretty basic as it is in design.

Oh for the love of god why? I just saw the gif for a split second and I really thought they were porting Wind Waker. But this? Nobody wants that crap!
