I have a feeling that's mostly to do with Nintendo. The WiiU's release schedule now barely goes past the next 6 weeks, Nintendo is really starting to give off a vibe that they're shutting down on this gen progressively

4 years on and this is all that's been released so far that i have been interested in picking up. Have a reasonable mix of quirky and regular games but would love more quirky, i definately need more cooking games but sadly they don't release as many like they used to do on DS, i have maybe about 10 more games to pick up at some point in the future and maybe some unannounced games will tempt me but there is not a lot on the horizon even looking at the preorders on Amazon Japan.

What's that spooky-looking haunted house type one at the bottom, is it a Layton spinoff?! I'm kinky for haunted house games, me.

Poor mans Zelda? yeah i have link between worlds but it's a digital copy also have kirby as a digital copy too as i used my free credit i had to get them ofrom the eshop. Still unsure if i want them in my collection as cart copies though. That is indeed rocket slime 3 it barely uses any graphical power of the 3DS but it's just as fun as the DS & GBA ones, seems weird that they kept it from the west considering how well the other one did that they released here.

It's called Nazo waku yakata, it's kind of a weird game all the minigames are based around sound it uses 3D surround sound and it's really amazing through headphones it sounds like people are right next to you. The downside is some of the games you need to know Japanese as they have conversations with you and you have to respond back to them in Japanese with the correct responses. Like the room with the creepy ass mannequin that has no clothes and slowly makes her way towards you asking for clothing. You have to start naming articles of clothing to cover her up before she reaches you and kills you off.

Some of the minigames are totally out there on the weird-o-meter, it's pretty fun though it reminds me of rub rabbits on DS with zany minigames just for the sake of it. My favourite minigames is the setsubun bean throwing one where you have to figure out how to get rid of the the demon then shout out oni wa soto to fling beans at them and watch as a hand from the shadows forcebly removes them from the room, the sound is used really great as you can hear the demon been eaten by something in the distance.

the ds one was a top down affair affair wasnt it with bosses and puzzles and exploration. very easy if i remeber with little to no challenge didn't stop me enjoying it though.
