      Really? I remeber seeing the Rolling Thunder and Splatterhouse games in the arcade as Namco.

        Namco and namcot are the same company. namcot was just the home lable's name. many of their games on the Mega Drive and early Super Famicom were called Namcot. Now the company just uses the name Namco. I gues it was to confusing for the fans by the way, I remember playing a few wonderful Namco games in the early days of the Mega Drive. Burning Force (super smoth 3D like space harrier and rotation & scalling balls just like the SFC game Pilot Wings) and Marvel Land or Talmin's Tail in the west. Oh, had a soft spot for Phellios or what ever that flying horse shooter was
