That... wasn't quite the same experience I've had trying to buy tickets before for Distant Worlds, Final Symphony, etc. The site's still up, for one. Anyhow, I grabbed a pair of VIP tickets. Wasn't even aware of it before today, so thanks for the heads up!

An amazing night!

Got my copy of Lost Odyssey signed and both Nobuo Uematsu and the pianist, Hiroyuki Nakayama were very excited to see it holding it up and saying how they both worked on it.

I picked up the concert tshirt and there was a meet up at a local pub before where I won a Nier Automata tshirt provided by an SE employee and everyone sang happy birthday to me haha.

Definately one of the greatest birthdays

Nice score on the Nier shirt! Wasn't aware of the pre-event, but had fun at the main thing. Was practically sat on the stage, and managed to get in the VIP queue after about 10 spots from the front, which meant at least things were relatively quick.

Had no idea Nakayama also worked on Lost Odyssey, aaaargh - I'd already considered taking the OST but passed it up! I did however get Uematsu to sign the musical selection from the 25th anniversary box -





Personal highlight - just seeing the man himself in an Elephant & Castle dive, drinking from a can of Stella. Amazing scenes.

Final Fantasy Piano Opera London 15th November

There was not even a hint of pretension about him, as ever. Totally lovely guy. Goes without saying that if the bar was still open and he didn't have other engagements, people would've been fighting over who could buy his next one. I would've won, naturally.
