Same here. Stuff like GoldenEye, SMB3, SMW, Unreal Tournament, SNES Mario Kart and SFII probably qualify but that would be in stretches over the years, as opposed to marathons. SNES Sim City taught me a lesson about sinking too many hours into a game in one stretch very early on.

I clocked about 150 hours in FFX because I left the PS2 on pause and then went on holiday. Never finished the game, either!

        Disgaea
        Disgaea 2
        Disgaea D2
        Morrowind
        Oblivion
        Skyrim
Jumpgate (this is clocked at well over 700 hours it's no longer running, but was a space based MMO which I max levelled on - not sure whether that's really something to be proud of).

Final Fantasy 7 is probably close as are Battlefield 3, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Fallout New Vegas, GTAV, Disgaea 3 and Disgaea 4.

          • Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - I got this for my Birthday and was the only game I played when I was around 10!
          • Gran Turismo 2 - I faked an illness to go home from school to play it and I became addicted to buying a car and modifying it perfectly for specific races.
          • GoldenEye 007 - Probably played 100 or more in single player alone, let alone the time I spent playing with friends in 2 controller Co-Op or Deathmatch!
          • Halo: Combat Evolved - My fondest games playing memories. Played almost every day with my younger Brother for nearly 2 years in Co-Op but also Deathmatch in occasional 4 player mode.
          • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - The perfect RPG; It looks beautiful, you could go anywhere, the world was massive, the gameplay could be tailored around your play style and it arrived at a perfect time for me to play it. Essentially I was so unhappy at a previous job in London, I quit so I could escape into Cyrodiil the day it was released! If you asked me what game would I take onto a Desert Island it would be this.
          • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - The best online shooter I've ever played.

Despite me playing games for nearly 3 decades, I think they're the only games that I've truly put 100+ Hours into. I've played other games like Ridge Racer Type 4, Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider, Gran Turismo 4, Age of Empires II and others a hell of a lot but 100+ hours? I'm not sure.

Also, I've excluded Warhammer: 40,000 Firewarrior, Black & White 2, Fable II, Fable III, Fable: The Journey and others off the list as including games you've worked on does not necessarily represent enjoyment gained! Although Fable II and Black & White 2 are the exceptions.

I've still no idea how you managed that. I got bored within a day or so. The combat's wonderful, and visually there are some nice locations, but so much of it just seemed by-the-numbers.

Pfff God knows. Not loads as most titles have run out of killer by 40-50 tops and then its how much filler you're in the mood for unless its something with very good replayability. Of games that held a count so I'm sure of or are likely:

                  -Skyrim
-Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
-Call of Duty: World at War
-Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
                  -Call of Duty: Black Ops
-Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
-Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
                  -Battlefield 4
-Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
                  -Donkey Kong Country
                  -Donkey Kong Country 2
                  -Mario Kart 64
-Grand Theft Auto V (has to be close)

Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I'd still be playing it today had I not set myself the arbitrary end-point of 500 hours. I finished on New Year's Day 2014 and haven't been back. No other game has come close.

The combat kept me there. Once you hit max level and have all your glyphs and right crystals and start doing HM endgame it was hella fun. Being able to solo dungeons meant for 5 people was possible due to the combat engine too. Unfortunately since the game went f2p it lost the magic it once had and the developer has gotten really lazy, most effort goes into stuff they can sell now - not game content.

The PvP is sublime for an MMO too. What other MMO could you go 40-0 in a battleground? Not many I don't think.

Sadly the EU publisher has seriously gated progress in favour of p2w too...

I'd heard that was one of the main criticisms of it; that due to being contracted out, there are three functioning versions of TERA at any one time - TERA Korea, TERA US and TERA EU - and they have different F2P models, different content delivery roadmaps... Then of course the censorship (which isn't surprising given what I've seen from the original).

There are about 6 or 7 versions right now I think?

Korea, Taiwan, China, Japan, Russia, NA and EU.
