Looking at the comments turns out he is partially disabled so spends a lot of time at home. Surely would have reached the point of being bored of the game by now though?

Definitely. I can't think of a game I've ever played that I'd want to sink 3000 plus hours into.

Only games I've reached the 100 hour mark on over the last couple of years are Arkham City and Borderlands 2.
