How many console games do you own ? - UPDATED

I don`t understand this kind of thing. Is this a competition or sommat? Does whoever has the most games win a prize? Don`t u guys ever just play em all and enjoy em instead of count em all and take piccies? Its about the fun u get from em, not how many you can buy. I understand that every now and then its ok to take stock and sit back and see how much you`ve gathered over the years but these threads always seem like a willy-waving contest.

Most people don't think of it like that at all. I know I don't have the largest collection here (or even anywhere near the largest) but I still like seeing and reading about other people's collections. When I saw Big Al's huge collection I was impressed beyond words...I didn't feel any resentment or hate towards him. Why should I?

Likewise I didn't post pictures of my room in the other thread in an attempt to say 'look at me...look at me...I have lots of stuff!' I did it for the sake of joining in and I thought other people would be interested.

Anyway here's my games collection. I archived it on IGN last night. I recommend others do the same...it took me about an hour to do this, and is worth it IMO

Everything's up to date iirc although I might need to change some details (some games are listed as PAL instead of NTSC and vice versa)

I see it in the same way as having a nice record collection. A game for every mood, a nice collection of older stuff which gets revisited every now and then, and above all, it's about choice - choice to pull out whatever you fancy playing and having fun. As far as counting goes, I audited my collection when I moved house so that I could insure it all. Same as my record collection.

I see it the same as Jay, and its also very nice to be able to pull out older games when I have friends round, particularly when you grew up playing said games with them.

Wow, some of you are pretty crazy in the amount of games you have. Still, we all have our vices so each to their own

Anyway, I'm pretty selective in what games I buy and decide to keep so I have a relatively humble collection:

I've got a lovely Indian chess set too, dunno if that counts.
