I'm bummed it doesn't have a circular screen. That would've been cool. It looks like a nicely put together gizmo though. Would be really cool in a kid's room but the price is maybe a little high for that, idk (I'm sure most kids would rather a game or toy!).

Yup for the price to be honest it should have been circular hell it should have been oled but here we are nintendo doesn't go all out with fancy tech they just grab cheap components and do weird stuff with them. I did set the alarm this morning to see what its like to properly use and it was a bizzare experience to say the least the first thing i hear while still pretty much asleep are pikmin making that hnnnngh noise as they carry heavy stuff, it's nice how it gently wakes you up gradually getting louder also like how you can kind of put it into a short snooze mode by flailing your arm in the air at it till the sound bubble pops but it then will go back to trying to wake you up.

It is bizzare watching the reaction to this thing, nearly every youtuber alive seems to be covering right now it like it's the damn switch 2 i have never seen a single alarm clock get so much coverage, it's one of these times where it been made by nintendo is getting people really critical over it. It's a quirky and probably a bit too expensive alarm clock that plays nintendo music to wake you up and that's it. If it wasnt created by nintendo it would barely get a single mention online it's not like there aren't a million other weird clocks out there in a saturated market.

Just one domestic release today, makes me laugh when bigger devs cry about oh how they can't release a physical of thier switch titles and yet here we have a small indie game getting a physical and they even went to the effort of a neat reversable cover and stickers as well as including all the DLC on the cart. This is how you should do it even if you don't release physical on launch do it a bit later instead and make it worth your while.

Had it digitally for ages and it's a fun puzzle game, was surprised when i saw this one was getting a physical release but here we are

EDIT: lol i'm so stupid i was wondering why there were sticker sheets of random items included. It's so you can fill in the gaps of the tray on the inner cover just like you fill the drawers in some of the levels of the game, when done it makes a completed alternate cover it's a genius touch and something i haven't seen done on any switch game before.

              That’s a lovely physical edition.

Yeah it's nice to see a game i like get a loving physical release, a lot just have nothing in the case when you open it not even inner art. However i'm not super picky with a lot i'm just glad it's on cart and safe from the eshop, i don't trust that thing at all i treat any digital i get from there as a rental. This one wasn't bad value too it's £26 for physical the 2 extra DLC packs from the eshop cost £13 for both and those i haven't played so it was a no brainer to pick this up and have everything together on one cart.

Couple more switch arrivals just in time for halloween.

Just one new arrival for today, already have the first release but it's nice to have it again with all the additional DLC on the cart. Still an incredible museum compilation, love that it has a bit of everything including prototype games. While i'm not the hugest fan of their home console releases of atari games, their arcade output was simply legendary.

Technically for me this should be in the Import thread 😋
Alan Wake 2 Deluxe edition import from the UK as it never got a physical release over here.
Really liking it but I do think the game is a little dark. That and the lighting in general seems to be messed up. For example, looking out of a window shows a sunny world, step outside though and it's overcast like a miserable pissing down Monday morning.

Sounds just like the UK, maybe it’s a localisation problem? 🤪

I really enjoyed that Halloween game when it came to PS+ a couple of years back. I just subscribed to the service again so I might have to get back into that. A really cool idea for a multiplayer game.

I don't know what it looks like as a single game but in the double pack you start in a cool frontend video s/arcade what's interesting is apart from the 2 arcade games available there's more machines with dust covers on, i'm wondering if they are planning a few more games in this series. i love how if you have both games you can take the characters from either to play in the other game giving it a bit more variety. They are basic run of the mill slasher action platformers but the pixel art is charming.

Ah I've just realised I had this completely wrong lol, sorry. I was actually thinking of the Friday the 13th game, which I see has now been de-listed. It was a pretty janky but fun asymmetrical multiplayer game where one of you played as Jason and the rest played as hapless campers. Campers had to complete certain tasks in order to escape the map (get a car started, etc), while Jason merely had to stalk around murdering them. Was pretty fun.

Not a game but i have been eagerly waiting for this to release and hope it got here without getting trashed from amazon. The second companion book to the amazing art of cuphead. Once again they did a signature edition like the first, the amount of content in this second book is just as exhaustive as the first they even cover all the merch and other suff in this one. Thick paper and beautiful high quality images a must grab for me was originally £90 but amazon slashed the price before release to £60.59 still expensive for a book but the first volume now goes for a bomb so it's grab it at release or pay a scalper later.
