Shinobi, nor Kunoichi, aren't really that deep you know.

So what? Does everything have to be an epic deeper than the Atlantic with more moves and tricks than you can count? Of course not. Sometimes, a quick arcadey blaster/slasher is all you need.

If it's fun, if it's entertaining then it doesn't matter if it's as shallow as a puddle - it's done its job.

Trying to get the last oboro coins on the later levels of Shinobi is seriously deep. You have to use the charge dash to propel yourself around. Using the enemies to navigate the level. It's something that takes alot of practice and good spacial awareness.

The Shinobi games are all flawed masterpieces (or in the case of Cyber Shinobi, just flawed ). Some people just seem to love the warts and all.
