This book's going to be responsible for some mad spending. It should come with a warning.

These concerns have hopefully been resolved now to my knowledge. I've known Sam for a while, having helped out since the first book he put out (the C64 Commpendium) and he's definitely very on top of these things. It was one of the first questions I asked him when he told me that he was going to resurrect this project (some weeks before the announcement) because I was well aware of why it had been cancelled in the first place.
This is exactly what I was hoping to hear! Yeah, when I originally saw the KS I thought its approach to licensing and rights was very... liberal, shall we say. The chap doing the design is clearly a very good designer but it felt like an exercise in self promotion more than anything, and I had major concerns for how the actual project was going to be handled. Hope it doesn't get too expensive, but definitely see myself grabbing it given the subject matter is very much 'my' era of gaming - yes, I played C64s and Spectrums and so on, but the SNES was my very first home console and was very much when my taste for J-gaming flourished (thanks Super Play). Looking forwards to it.

I got the Amiga and C64 books and Bedrooms to Billions combo and it was 60 pounds shipped to Singapore.

Yes. Then the printing company Tim had a contact with pulled a fast one essentially (quoted a low price, then never came through, and eventually has been wound up I believe). After trying to negotiate with someone else, it's gone to Sam, and I couldn't be happier given the results he has put out so far. Everyone who backed the KS will still get the book, and hopefully most of the other perks.

Sam is an excellent publisher and good to hear the Kickstarter will be honoured.

Pre-order: Super Famicom: The Box Art Collection

"A couple of months ago we announced that we would be publishing the excellent Super Famicom: The Box Art Collection. Since then, the design and writing of the book has been in full production with the book on schedule to go to print at the end of January. I know that many of you have been asking when pre-orders for the book will be available and we can announce that as on Saturday 2nd January 2016, this will be possible.

As well as the standard hardback of the book, there will be a Collector's Edition that will be exclusive to pre-ordering. We won't give too much away at the moment but this is a really cool edition of the book that includes special packaging that has been illustrated by the incredible Wil Overton. These will be limited edition and once they're gone they're gone.

We will remind everyone again on the 2nd January when pre-ordering if live."

Being the idiot that I am

The exclusive collectors edition will be given to all pre orders as standard and I'm not missing a link anywhere to buy the actual limited edition rather than the standard edition

Why am I given these decisions... Maybe I'll just grab what I thought I was gonna buy in the first place.
