It seems that this is ultimately about Mobile games.

If this is true then it's a bad move, the people that are likely to complete this survey are (and I hate to use the words) hardcore gamers and will be against phone games in general.

I could be wrong but the second half of the survey was about mobile games.

Yeah, it got very mobile based as it went on. Hopefully it's used practically and not just to work out which Mega Drive game to port to iPhone next

Yeah, that's what I thought but of course it will be used for that as well. Somehow I have the feeling that most people who answer these surveys are the hardcore gamer type who want these companies to touch upon what they were in their glory days...

Totally, I just used it as an opportunity to 'Yakuza Series on PC'

I ticked a load of games for the "which series did you love?" question, and was a bit nonplussed to see that I was then expected to write reasons why I loved them. I didn't think they would pay much attention to why I loved Golden Axe or Shinobi, so I just put "Not Beast Rider!" for that, and put "bright colours" for Out Run, Crazy Taxi etc, and wrote at length about how much I liked Yakuza games and urged them to release more of them on disk in the West.

Then we got to the mobile questions, and their intentions became clearer, so I said, truthfully, that I have no interest in them.
