This is the VR I'm waiting for the most. Can't wait to try it. I'm not the biggest fan of the game, but I think VR will really make it pop.

87 hours in and the game is amazing and thats without th vr update, the bare empty vanilla experience is nothing like what it is now that the updates were added. Done 2 of the main 3 questlines now i have found a planet to settle down on and build my base, the base quests are rather fun and involve tracking down quite a few things to build the technology needed which in return gives you rewards to help expand your base as well as make better tech.
In 30+ years of gaming i have never had many games that give me a sense of exploration like this one does, each time i go down to a planet i have no idea what weird alien world i will find. My fave so far is the one filled with nothing but bubbles. For £15 it's a steal for the amount of gaming you will get back out of it, once vr drops that's it i will not be leaving my room for a looong time.

And my preorder of accounting+ is secured, thanks for the heads up. $39.98 is not too bad as it included uk shipping. Went for regular edition as the other stuff in the special edition is not that compelling.
Now if only they would release job & vacation simulator as a double disk pack i'd be happy. Apart from job simulator i have all the physical vr games i wanted. I'm keeping an eye out though in case any digital ones get the disk version treatment.

One thing i do like is with vr stuff at least they seem to like adding new content to games for free, it's a nice unexpected extra. Pixel ripped is geting a disk version coming, will be picking that up to. If theres a physical copy coming, i'm happy to double dip as i convert my collection.

So I finished Blood & Truth.
On the whole, loved it! It was exactly what I signed up for, i.e. something which took what was established in the The Heist demo for VRWorlds and ran with it for a few hours. It's short, perhaps, but it's great fun while it lasts and I wouldn't have wanted them to stretch it out for the sake of it. "Lean", I guess is the term I'm looking for.
That being said, there were some problems, as I've mentioned before. The tracking works well overall but only because the game is quite easy; I don't feel it would support a more challenging game, which is a shame. Plus I encountered a severe bug where the game put my player viewpoint a few feet behind and about the character (this was not a VR tracking error, as it was tracking my hands and head correctly as if they were at the right position - just the viewpoint was translated behind the correct point for the player).
The bug was interesting, because the characters still looked at where I was, not where my character is supposed to be. Curious. I guess because you can move your head, they have to be able to change their sight-line, otherwise it simply wouldn't work. Still, I had to reboot, which caused me to lose some progress and I started again with different weapons, which was annoying as I'd held on to some good ones.
These blips are just that though - blips. Taken as a package the experience is really something special, and whilst the cinematics can be a bit melodramatic (it's an almost satrical mashup of a Guy Ritchie gangster movie and a Fast & the Furious movie), it was great fun. I strongly recommend it to anyone with a PSVR.

I did look when the date was asked the other day.Last edited by QualityChimp; 27-06-2019, 14:25.

I also saw a Spiderman VR experience for Far From Home today. Anyone had a go yet?
