Killer 7 - Hybrid Heaven ?

This is an embelishment of an earlier post i made about Killer 7

I cant get excited about Killer 7, i mean, what gameplay elements have been revealed that interest you?.
For some reason it reminds me of Hybrid Hevan, people were going wild over a short demo for years of HH before any gameplay elements were known. Why was this?, Gameplay is what makes or breaks a game, yes? So why are so many people really excited about Killer 7? We all know Hybrid Heaven was, well very average.
I suspect the same about Killer 7.
Its a sad refelction of the current state of games, when one of the bright spots on the horizon, is seemingly a game we know little about, besides from the artwork

Its because the game looks unique, and stands out from the rest. We all said the same thing about Auto Modellista, and look what happened to that..

Im reserving judgement until I play the game, and in the meantime hope its not a case of style over substance.

Theres nothing like positivity is there!

We know it is an on rails shooter with a fantastic graphics style.

What more do you want to know? It looks ace, and I am getting excited about it - the other two games from the Capcom 5 have been great, so I am hoping this will too.

Obviously we never know how good a game is going to be until it is out, but it doesnt stop us getting excited about it.

Sounds to me like you need a break from gaming!

The game looks stunning (I have to say I still haven't seen it in motion), and it being made by Capcom I have confidence in it that it should be a good game, but like said here before I had also some high hopes for auto mod. but that sure was a big let down.... let's wait for a playable version

Probably my second most wanted game (behind Halo2) for 2004. I shall be reviewing it for the website.

If its up to PN03 and Viewtiful in terms of standards and whatnot then you can't say no can you. And to try and predict a game no one is really sure about is a tad naive...

I do certainly. Screen shots released in dribs and drabs, little gameplay information, being released on a system that is suffering at retail. Sounds very famliar.

I don't know if it's the fact that there have been little gameplay details, the graphics look fantastic or the irrational fervour that this title has generated, but I just have a nagging doubt that this is going to be ****. I'm normally a very positive gamer, but I just have a hunch that this is going to be a right duffer.

Definately one I'll wait before ordering. I had the same hunch about Auto Modelista .

If it's as good as HotD2 that's good enough for me. I'm hoping for an indepth combo/score multiplier system similar to VC1 - that'd make my year. 8)

After seeing gc sales figures for the past few months I wouldnt say its struggling at retail anymore, especially not in the US and Japan.

Im eagerly looking forward to killer 7 however, even though I fear it might be more graphical style over content.

Hmm, I thought Killer 7 was a First Person Shooter? I had no idea Nintendo would allow a developer to release an on-rails shooter on the system.

I just thought it'd be an FPS game?

See this is my point, people arn't even sure what type of game it is.
It is a sad reflection on the standards of games today, when somthing that so little is known about is one of the most looked forward to in the comming year.

I see a 5/10 game comming here, just a hunch
