Seems that the Chinese government is on a path to further edulcolorate videogames and other media.
The Chinese government have announced new regulations for games; banning effeminate men, panty shots, declaring Japanese and anime games “dangerous;” and more.
According to memo seen by the Post, games are a new art form that must highlight ‘correct values’ and an accurate understanding of China’s history and culture.
Games that fall afoul of the new guidelines include Civilization VI, This War Of Mine, and even popular gachas like Azur Lane, Girls Frontline, and Genshin Impact. Oh, anime in general could be classified as dangerous, like My Little Pony.

Either we end up with whatever **** games China allows just because they are a big market developers want to sell to.
Or
They stop publishing games in China and accept whatever financial impact that might have.
