Its a pretty clear cut case for Apple.

Epic circumvented the payment method so it could take a bigger cut. (Against platform policy).

This also circumvented parental controls. (Against platform policy).

They then tried to rally all this kids to their cause using facist propaganda inside the game.

To be fair macOS and windows are identical in this regard.you need a license to put an app on the windows or Mac stores but you can run what you like on both systems. Similarly windows phone worked the same as iOS.

You’ve ****ed up pretty badly when the company that takes 30% for not doing all that much comes out looking like the good guys.

        Epic Fail lol

The Apple/Epic thing is very messy. Apple are kind of damned both ways; either they enforce their ToS and upset seemingly everyone, or they start making exceptions and have everyone but Epic now expecting their own rule-breaking scenario to play out.

No sympathy for Epic; knowingly, intentionally breaking ToS and then trying to set the public onto them with a ridiculous PR campaign, without considering the impact of what a platform holder can do to them, is hubris of the highest order.

Damn, that Mortal Shell game looks very interesting. Anyone took the plunge?

Watch a dev + famous streamer on twitch, seemed liked a better take on the Euro Soul formula than that viking themed on i forget the name off, lords of something. It did seem to be missing alot of polish, like leaving foot prints in the snow. The gameplay seemed to mix in bloodborne, where countering in to canned execution move gave alot of HP back or tag them gears of war style with sticky bomb.

Twitch is the world's leading video platform and community for gamers.

Not now, too many games. Interested in the PC version, but it's exclusive to Epic till 2021...when it comes to Steam and reviews are decent, I'll take the plunge. Hopefully it'll be better than Code: Vein.

Don't know what this is, but it looks like Super Power Enduro Run and I want it.

Unimpressed by the Oculus news; that they're phasing out Oculus accounts and their customers will have to use Facebook for everything; with the ideological shift that Oculus will be conceptually reworked to be something that serves Facebook's business interests, rather than its previous more "hands-off" stance.

Yep. That's the modern dystopia right there. Shouldn't need a facebook account to operate a piece of VR hardware. Reminds me of recent stories of smart home devices changing what they'll do and won't do. I read a short story recently that all kicks off with a toaster that refuses to toast certain types of 'unauthorised' bread because the parent company went bust and we're pretty much already living that.

This was always going to happen. At least the pc has other options, plus you'll never have to worry about your psvr headset only working with an internet connection just to boot up.

They stated that this was not going to happen when Oculus was bought out. This is a complete reversal of policy, even if externally it might've seemed obvious it would eventually happen.

In my defence, even though it's 2020, I kinda reserve the right to still be annoyed at people when they say one thing, then later on do another. Naivete be damned.
