Unimpressed by the Oculus news; that they're phasing out Oculus accounts and their customers will have to use Facebook for everything; with the ideological shift that Oculus will be conceptually reworked to be something that serves Facebook's business interests, rather than its previous more "hands-off" stance.

Sucks as I just bought a Rift S. Luckily this - http://www.openhmd.net/ - is moving along at a decent pace and I have to think it'll speed up at this news. Soon we won't need Oculus/Facebook's own software at all. Which is good because they plaster a banner on my 'home' saying that my PC doesn't meet the requirements, all because the Radeon 5600 XT isn't in their whitelist and they seem incapable of adding it. Shame as the hardware is superb.
