We got a better version of ICO, we also actually recieved Shenmue 2 and headhunter on DC...
Not just our 'eccentric little island', the whole of Europe, a very large market.

Is the English info sheet just controls, or something more useful than that?

Controls, ingame menu translation and a few gameplay hints. Not entirely useful, but better than nothing.

It's really bad english though, even worse than the one you get with Asian Bujingai

Hmm, I want this game, but I'm reluctant to get the Japanese version.

I like my survival horror with plot as well as aimless wondering around

              Sorry folks

The domestic [US] release of Siren will feature the U.K. dub; SCEA has no plans to localize the VO. There won't be an option to play with the original Japanese voices + subtitles, either, unfortunately.
              Also:

Expect something official in the next couple of weeks regarding a spring release.
This information is taken from the gaming-age forum, however none of it surprises me so I believe it to be real.

I'm sure a game set in rural Japan accompanied with English cockney voiceovers is just going to go down a treat in America. No doubt this will smash the game's niche appeal, and enhance the game's commercial prospects no end.

SCEA and SCEE... Is there a braincell anywhere at all amongst the personel who make the important decisions within those organisations? Do pigs fly?

Between them both, they've royally managed to screw Siren over something rotten.

Too true, what was once a must-have title for me has been reduced to a 'oh, well......maybe, meh' game. Utterly infuriating.

When you put it like that, it all sounds too ridiculous to be true doesn't it.

We are all going to wake up any minute now with our shiny, subbed Siren discs being delivered to our door.

Hey, look on the bright side, it could be worse.

They could have changed the character models, and given everyone blonde hair and blue eyes, as well changing the soundtrack to Limp Bizkit, because as everyone knows, thats all teenagers do, is sit around with blonde hair listening to crap.

Do you reckon this will hike the price of the JPN original?
If we all start trying to buy it, I forsee some ebay rises.

No English subtitles or optional English Dialogue.. (so far) right?

The Japanese/Asian version is almost 100% Japanese (mostly kanji and hiragana). Some of the menus are in English, and all speech/rabid spluttering is in Japanese.

Christ, that English dub is one of the worst thing's I've ever heard. The US version can only be 100x better than that risible effort.
