ZOE - A Drawn On Film Shmup! (Steam Demo)

Hello all!

I just wanted to post this about a game I've been working on in my spare time for a while (Charlesr said it'd be cool ).

I know there are a fair few Shmup fans on here so I thought some of you might be interested in checking it out. Feedback would be really helpful if you do give it a go. Maybe we could even get a high score competition going (if my scoring mechanics hold up!).

It's a bit like a cross between Resogun or Defender (with the looping level design, and some of the power up mechanics from Resogun), Splatoon (theres's a territory reclamation mechanic) and Cuphead (the visual style inspired by animation from a similar era).

- Power up Shop
- Dash and Pound charge mechanics
- Apples!
- Bananas!
- New music
- Loads of tiny things you probably won't notice but make everything feel nicer!

Please bear in mind it's my first game and still a work in progress!

I'd really like to do a Mac version soon for sure, it's just a case of sitting down and figuring out Apple's process when I have the time. Hopefully soon tho, I'll definitely post here when it's sorted Thanks for the interest!

There's also an online leaderboard now - would be great to see some familiar names on there!

Hey, I just released a new demo for ZOE on Steam the other day. The game has changed quite a bit since the last demo - there's a new dash charge mechanic that makes it much more satisfying to zip around the levels, taking out enemies, and there's also a new power up system with a shop where you can by various upgrades with the apples you collect from downed enemies.

Would love to know what you guys think!
